Time Available & DeadlineThe LT TAC is now accepting proposals for PATT time for observations in Semester 2010A (1st February 2010 – 31st July 2010). The deadline for submission of Phase 1 proposals is 30th September 2009. The total available time for PATT users in 2010A excluding pre-allocated time is at least 198.5 hours. The Phase 1 proposal should include the science case for observation, and in particular why it is suitable for a robotic telescope to undertake.
Instrument AvailabilityInstruments available for 2010A are:
- RATCam optical CCD camera
- SupIRCam infrared camera (Note: SupIRCam will be decommissioned after semester 10A.)
- RISE fast-readout optical camera
- FRODOspec multi-purpose integral-field input spectrograph
Beginning in semester 2010A, standard stars will only be observed routinely with RATCam, in B, V, r, i and z; standards in g, U and Hα will no longer be taken. Standards for the other instruments (RISE, SupIRCam, FRODOSpec and RINGO) will not be taken routinely. Observers who wish to observe standards other than the ones routinely taken by RATCam will need to include those observations in their own programmes.
