External Webcam Movies

A frame from the external webcam on 16th June 2026, showing the Liverpool Telescope, and further away, the Moon, Venus and Jupiter. The Zodiacal Light is faintly visible as a wide fuzzy band stretching from bottom-right to the top middle of the frame.

The external webcam was replaced in May 2025 with a model that could image at night. On this page are the last two weeks' worth of movies made with frames from this camera. The movies start at 17:00 UT and go through to 08:00 UT the following morning. The files are named after the date at the start of the night.
